Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) (IRI)

IRI (Instrument Rating Instructor) entitles you to train pilots for the IR. Requires significant IFR experience (e.g. 800 h IFR or FI + 200 h IFR).

Prerequisites

  • Valid IR rating
  • Experience: min. 800 h IFR (400 h on aeroplanes) or FI + 200 h IFR
  • Medical

How to obtain

Training: theory (instruction), approx. 10 h; practice approx. 10 h in the air. Duration approx. 3 weeks.

Cost depends on organisation. Offers at schools with IRI course.
