Instrument Rating – Single Engine (IR/SE) (IR/SE)
IR/SE (Instrument Rating – Single Engine) entitles you to fly IFR on single-engine aeroplanes. Required e.g. for IMC flight and for the IR/ME path. Issued after training on aeroplanes and FNPT II simulator.
Prerequisites
- Licence: PPL(A) or CPL(A)
- Medical: Class 2 (or 1 for CPL)
- VFR night rating often required before IR training
How to obtain
Training includes BIFM (basic instrument flight) and PIFM (procedures) modules. Practice on aeroplane and simulator. Exam with CAA examiner.
Approximate cost
Approx. from PLN 40,000 (depending on school and package). IR/SE is a prerequisite before conversion to IR/ME.
