IR/ME (Instrument Rating – Multi Engine) entitles you to fly IFR on multi-engine aeroplanes. Requires prior IR/SE (or integrated training). Needed for multi-crew and MCC.
Prerequisites
- IR/SE (or equivalent)
- Licence: PPL(A) or CPL(A)
- Medical: appropriate class
How to obtain
Training on multi-engine aeroplane and simulator. Skill test exam.
Approximate cost
Cost higher than IR/SE (ME aircraft). Offers at flight schools.
