VFR Night Rating – Aeroplanes (noc (A))

VFR Night (noc (A)) is an endorsement to the PPL(A)/LAPL(A) licence enabling night flying under VFR. Night is defined as take-off later than 30 min after sunset and landing before 30 min before sunrise.

Prerequisites

  • PPL(A) or LAPL(A) licence
  • In the last 2 weeks: 5 landings on type
  • In the last 6 months: flight in closed cockpit / by reference to instruments
  • Class 2 medical

How to obtain

Theory: approx. 5 h (planning, night navigation, physiology, lighting). Practice: min. 5 h (take-offs and landings, navigation flight min. 50 km).

Approximate cost

Approx. PLN 5,000–5,500 net (theory + practice).
