PROCEDURES FOR VFR FLIGHTS

Flying procedures

Before starting to taxi the pilot-in-command of an aircraft is obliged to establish radio contact with  Mielec AFIS to obtain traffic information (runway in use, taxiing restrictions etc.).
Circuit heights:
  • 330 ft (100 m) for helicopters
  • 1000 ft (300 m) AAL for aeroplanes and gliders.


When only RWY 08R/26L is active, aircraft shall fly the northern circuit.
When RWY 17/35 is active, aircraft shall fly the eastern circuit.
When both RWY 08R/26L and RWY 08L/26R are active, aircraft using RWY 08R/26L shall fly the southern circuit and aircraft using RWY 08L/26R shall fly the northern circuit.
When RWY 08L/26R is active, operations on RWY 17/35 are prohibited.
When RWY 08R/26L is active, operations on RWY 17/35 are possible by arrangement with MIELEC (EPML) AFIS.

Procedures for helicopters

Helicopters conducting a VFR approach to MIELEC aerodrome shall land on RWY in use as Category A aeroplanes in accordance with Doc 8168 Procedures for Air Navigation Services - Aircraft Operations Vol. II - Construction of Visual and Instrument Flight Procedures, Part I, Section 4, Chapter 1, point 1.8.8.
 
 

1 Landing charge

1.1. The landing charge is levied for making MIELEC aerodrome and its technical infrastructure available for aircraft landing and take-off operations and the provision of standard services rendered by the relevant aerodrome units, exclusive of the ground handling services.
1.2. The landing charge is collected from the customer for each aircraft landing at MIELEC aerodrome.
1.3. The charge for the landing of an aircraft with a MTOW up to 2 tonnes inclusive depends on the time when the landing operation is carried out and amounts to:
  • during aerodrome operating hours: PLN 50.00;
  • outside aerodrome operating hours: PLN 70.00.
1.4. The charge for the landing of an aircraft with a MTOW above 2 tonnes is collected for each tonne and commenced tonne of the aircraft take-off weight, depending on the time when the landing operation is carried out and amounts to:
  • during aerodrome operating hours: PLN 30.00;
  • outside aerodrome operating hours: PLN 50.00.
1.5. The charge for helicopter landing is collected for each tonne and commenced tonne of the helicopter take-off weight depending the time when the landing operation is carried out and amounts to:
  • during aerodrome operating hours: PLN 15.00;
  • outside aerodrome operating hours: PLN 25.00.
1.6. The operating days and hours of the aerodrome are specified in point AD 4.3 and on the aerodrome's website: 
www.lotniskomielec.pl.

2 Passenger charge

2.1. The passenger charge is collected per each passenger departing from MIELEC aerodrome.
2.2. The passenger charge is PLN 15.00.
2.3. The passenger charge is not collected for children under 2.

3 Parking charge

3.1. The parking charge is PLN 20.00 for each commenced tonne of the aircraft take-off weight and each commenced 24 hours of parking.
3.2. No charge is collected for parking time of up to 4 hours inclusive.

4 Additional charges, exceptions and discounts

The aerodrome charges are collected at LOTNISKO MIELEC Sp. z o.o. headquarters (tower building).
 
 
Additional information concerning the aerodrome, i.e. indication of bird and animal concentration areas as well as significant bird migration routes between areas of resting and feeding is available during day from the AD Administrator.

Applications for permission

Any arrangements with ASM and RZESZÓW TWR shall be made by the MIELEC aerodrome AFIS officer.

Night flights

The aerodrome operates during night flights after prior arrangement.

Customs and immigration

An additional border crossing point has been established at the aerodrome. Planned take-offs and landings from and to non-Schengen countries are to be reported to the AD administration no later than 48 HR prior to the flight operation.
