1 PROCEDURES FOR VFR FLIGHTS

Take-offs from RWY 06/24 and RWY 10/28 may be carried out by aircraft whose performance (technical) parameters permit safe operations, i.e. obstacle clearance shall be at least 50 ft (15 m) until 330 ft (100 m) is reached.
Landing on RWY 06/24 and RWY 10/28 may be carried out by aircraft whose performance (technical) parameters permit safe operations, i.e. approach with obstacle clearance shall be at least 50 ft (15 m) and the landing together with a landing roll shall take into account shortened RWY distance.
Before beginning an operation, it is necessary to get acquainted with AUP/UUP, paying special attention to the activity of CEWICE A MCTR, EPTS9A and low level military routes (MRT) (hubs: 89-90, 90-95).
Each take-off or landing shall be reported in the air to GDAŃSK FIS on frequency 127.150 MHz or by phone: +48-58-340-7485 - 86.
If the flights are not directed by the Director of Flights, commencement and completion of the flights shall be reported by the pilot-in-command.
If the need for a forced landing arises to aircraft located close to each other it may be, if possible, executed within the boundaries of the landing area. In other cases the pilot shall decide on the place adapted to making a forced landing at his own discretion following the flight safety requirements.
In case of engine failure while taking-off, up to 330 ft (100 m), the landing shall be executed as follows:
  • in the direction of THR 06 with a 30° left angle (033° GEO) in the cultivated field (attention should be paid on the national road and buildings).
  • in the direction of THR 10 straight ahead or with a 20° right angle (125° GEO) in the cultivated field
  • in the direction of THR 24 after executing a right turn up to 70° (313° GEO) or left turn - up to 180° (063° GEO) in the cultivated field (attention should be paid on the forest).
  • in the direction of THR 28 after executing a 90° - 180° turn (195° - 105° GEO or 015° - 105° GEO) in the cultivated field (attention should be paid on the forest).

Applications for permission

Except for take-offs and landings, flights of motorpowered aircraft below 1000 ft (300 m) AGL over buildings in Korne and Łubiana are not allowed.
During the Director's of Flights/jumps absence:
  1. the pilot-in-command shall himself decide on the possibility of executing a safe landing or takeoff,
  2. aircraft shall land or take-off at/from the airfield solely according to the procedure applicable to operations conducted at other areas used for take-offs and landings, focusing on RWY visual check, also in the air,
  3. other aicraft (except for helicopters) may only use RWY 06/24.
RWY 06/24 is surrounded by public dirt roads, therefore, permission for taxiing across the public dirt road (Korne-Lipusz) shall be obtained each time from the Director of Flights or the designated marshaller, while taxiing from RWY to the hangar, and from the opposite.
RWY 10/28 is frequently used by modellers.
