Procedures for VFR flights
|
-
VFR day flights, minimum conditions:

-
visibility: 1500 m.
-
VFR night flights, minimum conditions:
-
cloud base: 1000 ft AGL,
-
visibility: 2000 m.
-
VFR night flights require prior arrangement with the AD Administration or a person authorized by AD Administration. It is required to appoint the Chief of Air Traffic Service and to ensure two-way radio communication between the ATS and the aircraft involved in night flights. The Chief of ATS is responsible for portable lamp spacing. Lamps should be deployed along the edges of the runway to a length of not less than required for landing aircraft which is expected to operate at night. Lamps must be deployed before the planned take-off or 15 minutes before the expected landing of aircraft performing VFR flights from other aerodromes/airfields.
-
Flight altitude: not less than 500 ft AGL.
-
Circling direction: circling to the south of the RWY recommended.
-
Powered aircraft flights may be conducted only from the paved runway; other flights (in particular paragliders, gliders, balloons and microlights) may also use grass.
-
Parachute jumping - jumping from a height of over 6500 ft AMSL requires permission from the governing body of the controlled airspace within GDAŃSK LTMA (GDAŃSK APPROACH, frequency 127.280 MHz, phone: +48-58-348-1109).
-
For gliding and paragliding towing take-off it is permitted to use the entire length of the former aerodrome’s runway and adjacent areas.
