1. The airfield is provided with RWY which permits takeoffs and landings in two directions - eastern and southern (070°GEO and 250°GEO). Direction 250°GEO is more suitable for take-offs due to the significant distance to vertical obstacles, surrounding fields useful for emergency landings and tiny terrain lowering in regard to aerodrome elevation.
2. Take-offs from 070°GEO may be conducted by aircraft whose performance (technical) parameters permit safe operations, i.e. obstacle (mainly trees) clearance shall be at least 15 m.
3. Landing on 250°GEO may be conducted by aircraft whose performance (technical) parameters permit safe operations, i.e. obstacle clearance shall be at least 15 m and the landing together with a landing roll shall take into account shortened RWY distance as a result of obstacles in the approach area.
4. Take-off and landing operations may be conducted during the day with minimum conditions:
  • cloudbase: 200 m;
  • visibility not less than 2 km.

Speed and cross-wind component in accordance with aircraft limitations.
5. Direction of the circuit:
  • when take-offs and landings are performed on 250°GEO - right;
  • when take-offs and landings are performed on 070°GEO - left.

The airfield circuit shall always be performed in the northern site of the airfield.

Sieradz airfield is located below A sector of ŁASK MTMA. Vertical limits: A025 to FL 095. Due to limits of ŁASK MCTR from THR of RWY strip 25 in north-east direction, all operations except departures in western direction must be performed after consultation with MIL TWR Łask on the frequency 133.075 MHz (aircraft departing from direction 07 and landing at 25 enter MCTR, and aircraft landing along direction 07 may enter the area in the event of a go-around). Flights should be performed in accordance with regulations applicable for D class area (i.e. FPL, maintaining a two-way radio communication with MIL TWR EPLK, clearance from MIL TWR EPLK to enter the controlled airspace agreed on the frequency 133.075 MHz or by phone number: +48-261-555-920.

Remark:

Particular caution should be kept by the pilot-in-command during take-off and landing due to a road passing in front of THR 07 and another road crossing the RWY. In case of danger the pilot-in-command should perform a go-around procedure.
